Terms of Service

The plain-English terms that apply to every Total Scaffold engagement.

Last updated · June 2026

Quotes & acceptance

Written quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Work commences once the quote is accepted in writing or by email and any required deposit is received. Site conditions disclosed after quote acceptance may give rise to variations.

Hire period & extensions

Standard hire periods are stated in your quote. Extensions beyond the agreed hire period are charged at the standard weekly rate, pro-rata. Scaffold and equipment remains the property of Total Scaffold Ltd at all times and must not be removed from site without our written consent.

Safety, compliance & inspections

Every Total Scaffold installation is designed, erected and inspected by SARNZ-certified scaffolders to WorkSafe NZ standards, with engineered designs and PE sign-off where required. Clients and other trades must not modify, alter, overload or remove scaffold components. Weekly inspection tagging is included; daily checks remain the responsibility of the principal contractor or homeowner.

Site access & conditions

Clients are responsible for safe and unimpeded site access during agreed installation and dismantle windows. Standby charges apply where access is delayed or denied. Hazards such as live overhead lines, asbestos or unstable substrates must be disclosed prior to mobilisation.

Payment terms

Invoices are due within 7 days of invoice date unless an alternative arrangement is documented. Overdue balances attract interest at 2% per month and any reasonable recovery costs.

Insurance & liability

Total Scaffold carries $10m+ public liability insurance. To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability for damage arising from unauthorised modification, misuse, third-party damage or events beyond our reasonable control is excluded. Nothing in these terms limits any non-excludable consumer guarantee.
